어제 뚜들겨맞은 후에 어깨 아프다던 주마야는 확실하지 않지만 왠지 일이 좀 커질 거 같습니다.
일단 주마야는 15day-DL에 올라가있는 상태입니다. 라이언 페리가 다시 콜업되었습니다.
Tigers trainer Kevin Rand said Joel Zumaya has "reaggravated the stress fracture of the right coracoid" in his right shoulder that occurred last season.
Surgery is a
possibility. It's better news than a torn labrum or rotator cuff would
have been, but it's still not good. While Zumaya's arm remains capable
of producing 95-100 mph fastballs, it seems his shoulder can only take
so much before giving out.

Perry returns just a shade inside of a month after being demoted. He
had allowed five runs on eight hits in his last three innings before
the demotion. Since that time, he's pitched 13 2/3 innings in the
minors, striking out 12 and walking four. Consider the Tigers in the
market for a reliever now.

Rangers released RHP Orlando Hernandez.
Hernandez
was stuck in Triple-A Oklahoma City's bullpen, and was told Thursday
that he didn't fit into the Rangers' immediate plans. He had a 2.45
ERA, opponents were hitting .121 off him and he had struck out 12
batters in eight appearances, so perhaps the veteran will get a call
from another club.
